Shipping Policy – Giant Melbourne

SHIPPING POLICY

We reserve the right to ship orders using our choice of carrier, depending on selected pick-up of goods, all orders are shipped via ground services and can be up to 7+ business days depending on the location. Any shipping times shown on this Website or by email are estimates only, and actual delivery dates may & can vary.

We only ship within Australia, no COD is accepted. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to PO boxes.

Our business hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday 10:00am - 4:00pm excluding public holidays. Orders can only be modified or cancelled prior to your order status updated to show that your order has been shipped. After this point, you must initiate a return if you wish to exchange or cancel your order.

You agree to collect the products at the authorised Giant retailer within 7 business days of you receiving an email explaining that your goods are ready for pick-up. If you are unable to do so, you will contact the authorised Giant to organise an alternative pick-up day. At the time of pick-up, you agree to present to the authorised Giant retailer, the original “Order Confirmation” email, a government issued identification card (such a valid driver’s license or passport) and the credit card used for the transaction.

If you fail to collect the product(s) and/or fail to contact the Giant retailer within 14 business days after the receipt of email notice, the order shall be cancelled, and Giant will refund any amounts you have paid in respect of such product(s) (less any applicable shipping, handling and restocking charges).

 

Our Shipping Services

Local Delivery Service

Giant Melbourne offers a Local Delivery Service for bulky goods and bikes within Melbourne and Surrounding areas. Please note that this service will only become available to orders that have at least one ‘bulky good’ item within the order, a minimum spend of $150.00 in a single transaction and that the delivery address is within 50km from the Melbourne CBD. For all orders that qualify for ‘Local Delivery Service’ and are within 10km from Melbourne CBD, Giant Melbourne offers Local Delivery Service FREE of charge. Please note if at the time of the agreed time of delivery or within an agreed delivery window that a person or persons is not available for one of our drivers to deliver the items, Giant Melbourne reserves the right to charge a redelivery fee or alternatively you may pick up for free from one of our store locations. For delivery addresses greater than 10km from Melbourne CBD a delivery charge for Local Deliveries will be charged at the time of checkout. Our Local Delivery Rates are listed below or alternatively you can call one of our stores via trading hours to discuss Local Delivery rates further.

 

Local Delivery Rates

Under 10km radius from Melbourne CBD = FREE

10km - 20km radius from Melbourne CBD = $25

20km – 50km radius from Melbourne CBD = $55

For all delivery addresses located greater than 50km from Melbourne CBD, please contact our Giant Melbourne, Giant Lygon or Giant Essendon stores to discuss pricing for our Local Delivery Services.

All bikes delivered through our Local Delivery Service will be fully assembled and built to manufacturer safety requirements, delivered in person by one of our friendly team members directly to you who will be only too willing to assist with basic bike adjustments. Please note that unless clearly listed we cannot deliver partially assembled bikes or bikes in boxes via this service.

All bulk good products that are not bikes will be delivered in original packaging unless otherwise specified prior to delivery.

 

FREE Click and Collect

Free Click and Collect (local pick-up) is available through any of our store locations. For all in-stock items one of our store team members will contact you via sms or designated contact number to notify you when your order is picked ready for collection. Please note that at times some of our stock is stored outside of our stores and for these items a delay in having these orders ready for collection maybe experienced. Please note that all bikes need to be assembled and checked for safety standards and that this will take a longer time than a small in-stock item that is easily picked and does not require assembly.

At the time of order collection, you must bring your order confirmation email, valid photo ID (drivers licence or passport and your credit card used at the time of processing the transaction.

Giant reserves the right to cancel a Click and Collect order at any time.

 

Standard Shipping

Our preferred choice of carrier for all non-bulk good items is Australia Post but we reserve the right to change this preference at any time without prior notice. All items that are not classed as a bulky good will be shipped FREE for all invoices with a total of $79 or greater. For invoices that do not have a bulky good item and are less than $79 a flat rate shipping fee of $10.00 will be charged at the time of check out. For all orders consisting of one or more bulky good items an additional charge will be charged at a rate of $20 per order. Please note that are not permitted to ship any bike sold within our business and as a result bikes are a non-shippable item via standard shipping. For all orders with a bulky good item with an invoice equal to or greater than $79 the FREE shipping will not apply to this order and a Bulky Goods shipping charge of $20 will be required for this service at the time of checkout.

Once your order has been dispatched by our fulfilment team you will be supplied with a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. Please note a signature is required upon delivery so please ensure you provide an address where someone is there to sign. If you would like to authorise for your order to be left at your door or in your mailbox, please specify details in the delivery instructions. Please note, if you elect for your parcel to be left at your premises, we cannot be responsible if the parcel goes missing. If you're not at home, Australia Post will leave a card or if you have a MyPost account via the AusPost app, email, or SMS.

We currently do not offer international shipping.

Please note, during sale periods and peak periods, dispatch of orders and delivery time may be delayed. We aim to process all orders in a timely manner, but we ask for your patience in order processing.
