Continuing her reign as the undefeated champion of the U23 XCC, Ronja Blöchlinger secures another victory at the UCI World Cup Series in Val Di Sole, Italy.

Ronja Blöchlinger continues to dominate the U23 Cross-country Short Track XCC! The Liv Factory Racing athlete took the top step at the UCI World Cup Series in Val Di Sole, Italy. In the fourth round of the series, Blöchlinger remains undefeated as the overall leader and continues to showcase the U23 XCC leaders jersey.
The Swiss athlete came out of the gate strong but didn’t take the lead right away. “Right off the start, Sofie took a big lead. Of course, I wanted to close the gap fast, but I decided to play it safe,” said Blöchlinger after the race. As the laps continued Blöchlinger began closing the gap but also worked on conserving energy for the final moments. “We were together until the last lap, she attacked early in the last lap and had a lot of power, I kept on the wheel. On the second climb, she didn’t have it in her to keep attacking, I passed, took the downhill first, and rode to the finish line in first.”
“I came into the race confident and I’m proud of myself for racing my way instead of getting too excited too early” - continued Blöchlinger, finishing the race on her Pique Advanced Pro with a time of 19:31, six seconds ahead of second place.
